It could be like the guy in CT that bought 100 372 xpws. He was up to $990 for them before he finally sold out a few months back. I paid $680 for one in 2008/2009. I should have bought 5 then.

Some folks got money and not worried about money. They also got 681's that folks want now. Dont seem to dumb to stock up when they were closing them out now does it. ;)

I didn't think they would really quit making them or I would have bought a few more xpws. The Solos never were big up on that list for some reason.

The new ones now aren't much more than that still. It was just the 75cc version that everyone wants.

I've watched NOS 056 mag II go for over $1500 on Ebay. Not a bad investment

I think he said can covering a green weenie air filter during storage.

    copy paste from ad.
He also has a MINT Stihl 056 AV Magnum II he is letting go of for $650. It never had gas in it till about 2 months ago when he got it. [IMG]

Yeah he used the can for the air filter cover. A real deal on a beast of an old saw.

You could buy a lot of screwdrivers for the price difference.

Knowing that I can always fix my saw without having to get the dealer involved is priceless.

Well after battling my dead envoy for a week and finding out it was going to take a dealer only software fix to be updated to my IPC. I'm starting to not like puter chit controlling my stuff that I work on. I love the autotune etc. Buttttttttttttt getting mixed feelings.

When I bought my truck I couldn't find one without power windows and locks... Guess what doesn't work anymore?

    Simple is best.
