Where can I get my hands on a 665? Can't seem to find any for sale.

Good luck. killiansred found several sitting in a warehouse and bought the whole lot. Amazon shows them in stock.

Probably free shipping but have to pay tax. Still way higher than the ones you got. If I had known what I know now I would have invested money in 372xpws and Solos before they disappeared. Baileys closed out the 681 at $499.

I just found where I was late to the party on the KRL deals. I saw them on Amazon but kind of a high price for 65cc, I think. I may just have to keep my eyes open for a 665-681 on the classifieds somewhere. I may end up with a Dolmar instead though. Really interested in getting a 65cc or 80cc range saw. I have a newer 372 already and a few 50cc saws. But, who knows, CAD is such an unpredictable addiction, no illness, no sickness, no disease.....who am I kidding its a pleasure! Mine is flaring up.

Well I made the XPW band wagon but missed out on the 681s for five bills.

Kevin, keep an eye out for a Dolmar/Makita 6400 clean used, not a big deal to turn it into a 665 or a 681 for that matter.

Several of us bought them. So keep an eye out. Or as KilliansRedLeo stated, look for a used Dolkita an you can't add the stroked crank an jug.

Although the Solo is sexier than a Dolmar or Makita.. ;)

So what does an ms362 go for? Since you don't have to have the solo ported the Amazon price is pretty reasonable.

681 for 5 bills? That would've been sweet. I've been so undecided on a new/used saw, Stihl or Husq, that my answer might be a good 60-80cc Solo or Dolmar. I'm no saw tech but I've rebuilt a handful of top ends and 1 complete rebuild on a TS400 cut off saw. Is it just a top end swap to get a 6400 to 681 specs?
    Thanks,

I'm aware, just happen to be interested in either one at the moment. If I can find the right deal that's not real high priced. Getting ready to build a new house, if I don't get an additional saw now, it'll have to wait 2 years.
    Thanks

    MSRP on a 362 is about $729-$749

The Solo shipped to my door was about $550.

Knowing I don't need a screwdriver for the 362C-M? Priceless ;)

It wont ever happen trust me. Not because of me, because of them not letting stuff go. ;)

I'll start a saw fund and watch for one to pop up somewhere. It'll happen!
