Yep, not where I got it but looks like the same thing, after you install it, when you right click on something and click take ownership you will see a Dos window pop up when it's done you have taken ownership

The way I did it, the Administrator (me) is now the owner with full access, but I also gave the user (me) full access. The Owner Creator (me) I left as it. And I removed the TrustedInstaller from everything as in no authority to do anything. I went folder to folder to folder and repeated the steps over and over again. All the GWX programs and counterparts are totally gone including the CompatTelrunner.exe. I'm still watching just in case I get reinfected!

Sorry, but it seems like you're overreacting. I'm a software engineer - I spend many long hours programming computers to do the things that people want them to. Much as I would like to, I can't just go remove the parts that I don't understand, or the software would stop working. Of course, you could always program them yourself instead from the ground up but reinventing that wheel is going to take a very long time. I don't want Windows 10 either. Luckily my none of PCs have come loaded with it, so I'm not "stuck" with it yet. If they ever "forced it down my throat", I would grab my PC by the re-install disks and flush.

I wouldn't rely on an internet search to determine which executable programs are "spyware". 99% of the programs listed in my task manager right now would come up in an internet search as "spyware", but actually they're not. You'll find the sites which claim they are, are full of advertisements (this should set off "click-bait" alarm bells), or they're trying to sell you "anti-virus" software.

So you think I'm overreacting? Really! This has become common knowledge that Windows 10 is spyware aka malware. I'm not talking about those gloom and doom sites or conspiracy sites. I'm talking Forbes, Newsweek, CNN Money just for starters.
Using Windows 10? Microsoft Is Watching
Is Windows 10 really a privacy nightmare?
Microsoft Upgrades Windows 10 Powers Of Control [Updated]

AND these places indicate that Windows 10 is being forced down everyone's throat. You will ultimately have no choice.
Why Microsoft Says Windows 10 Upgrades Cannot Be Stopped

Microsoft says you can turn off their spyware, but the truth of the matter is you can't.
Microsoft Admits Windows 10 Automatic Spying Cannot Be Stopped
You can try, but it will also disable a good portion of Windows 10 in the process.

As for my searching individual components of the Windows 7 OS, it was simply to remove what I consider malicious software. That being any spyware as well as any Windows 10 upgrade software and to prevent it's installation. You can't just delete the Windows 10 upgrade/update junk. The majority of it needs to be removed VIA software aka Uninstall. I had also used a multitude of programs to locate the spyware, malware, and anything remotely resembling a virus. All of them found nothing. But I knew I was infected at least with spyware, and that was Incredimail. The program itself had been compromised! Hopefully I removed the actual spyware itself, but I am still looking. I also haven't been at this part for a few days, rather a few months, and probably longer.

Now finding which components were associated with this Windows 10 garbage, that took a bit of research. However you couldn't just remove them because they would be back. You had to disable a few things, as well as take ownership of your computer. It was with all the information I had gathered from different forums and articles that gave me the information I needed for removal and to stop the Windows 10 upgrade in it's tracks and remove it in it's entirety.

Sorry, I don't click on links unless I specifically ask for them. I turn off all adware and any java scripting. I will temporarily turn some of the java scripting on to view whatever is on a page if necessary. But once I leave the page, I revoke any permissions.

Now, your saying 99% of the tasks on your computer would be considered spyware through internet searches. Of that, I'll say your full of beans :fart:. Maybe even a bit crazy. :loco:  Percentage wise it's probably more in the 5% range if that.

One thing I have learned over the years is to never let something get a foothold if my gut tells me otherwise. Give something an inch and they will likely take a mile or more. Trust is earned, not given freely, so a stranger or entity telling me something is good for me, that I'll like it in the long run throws up quite a few red flags. I am not one to be complacent. I am not a Gimedat in the land of entitlements, nor am I some libtard that accepts whatever blindly. (ask my attorney or other associates  )

So Windows 10 and this TrustedInstaller, ummm yeah! And overreacting?
