    All true, chris.
I'm trying out some Roxul in the attic over the living room to see how it does. Should be virtually no air loss like with FG.
    It's a bit pricey.

That's where cellulose has an edge it is a bit cheaper to blow in in the attic. Not any harder than fiberglass in a DIY deal. On the other hand walls are more difficult and requires a contractor that truely knows how to work with it . Can be blown into existing walls as well in a fashion similar to foam again the contractor is the key. It is also made in bats although I have never worked with those.

I'm not convinced I want any more loose insulation up there, hence the Roxul.
The batts are fairly easy to work with, and I don't even need gloves. I need 3-4 more bales for this end of the attic, then I'll hold off for a bit. Maybe.
The eave areas in the attic are a bear to get to, and you can't get even the minimum in there, but those are next. I'll work toward the middle, after maybe building some platforms for all my wife's......stuff, that's up there.
