First my Liz got her license Insurance company would not give a quote without license number.. $262 a month Drivers Ed was messed up due to virus so that had to be paid for.. She did pass road test with 97/100. She is stressing out over I’m laughing because she says “Adulting is expensive”. Since we helped her with car; she is running to grocery store now.. She is responsible for maintenance, gas, insurance. Dad started her off with new set of summer and Winter tires.
Good Luck! I have two boys that are 25 and 22 and they are both still alive and still have their license. My daughter is 14, so I got one more to stress about soon.
Nerve wracking yes, But the girl can Drive!! Backs diesel 50 hp Bota out of barn with 10 foot brush hog on back loader on front and it’s a stick!! I wanted her to have standard transmission vehicle but very hard to find!
I remember those days. We gave her the first car but she didn’t really like it. You want something different go buy what you want with your own cash, she did. 4 years later she wanted something newer, this one required taking out a bank loan. She pays for it all. We set her up and would have been wiser to just like it from the start.
tree killer ohh she loves the car 2007 Saab aero. Buying from my father as he lost license due to Alzheimer’s and kills 2 birds one stone.. keeps dads car so he can see it and it’s safe. I wish it wasn’t quite as fast. That car will fly.. Turbo sports edition She’s paying gramps $$ for it, well dads , me, helping with half. Liz drove my dad, gramps, around in car when he lived with us thanksgiving last year til March. Gramps in assisted living 5 miles up road so his girls can go steal him and get him creemee
My son got his license a month ago. Right at 75 a month in insurance. Good thing he works 20 hours a week at $14/hr.
A long time ago it used to be 4 doors were less insurance than 2 doors if that could help her with insurance.
dammnn... Canadian border VT, hold your head up high Brother, she is paying all the insurance, gas and half of the payment to Gramps!! You and your wife raised this young lady right!!
Teaching my 16 y/o son. He can't test until december. I had to lay the law down when the "know it all attitude" started to show itself. It quickly went away.
8 yrs ago while teaching my daughter we were stopped on a side road explaining something to her. A cop turns his lights on behind us walks upto the car. I lean from the shotgun seat and say teaching her to drive. Officer smiled said good luck and left. Never asked for id's or anything else.
That makes it soo dad will drive it I mean I’m nice but if my or moms car go to shop; teenager draws short straw.
