Looking good Jeff! I need to get my load of cherry from September split. Caught up a bit but betweendeliveries and wanting to cut i havent. Ill nibble away after work this week and should finish them off. Got maybe 3.5 cords on hand that need to be split.
That's quite a bit of Cherry. I started out hand splitting and finally broke out the hydro to make quick work of it. I still have a couple of loads at the farm to cut up. Going to look at a Stihl 660 one night this week, May be adding to the fleet, just got to see if it's all OEM.
Cool. Ive considered a 066/660/661 but really wouldnt get much use as i seldom cut BIG logs. Earlier this year a nice 661 came up for sale on FBM for a song and a dance. I came close to pulling the trigger but didnt. It sold rather quick. What are they asking for it?
Looks real nice. Thats a great price. The one i considered was $650 IIRC. Thats an $800+ saw around these parts.

Thank you sir! I used to have plenty of yard to mow, before I came across this group Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Getting rid of bark and splitter trash. It’s my old chimney cap, turned fire pit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks. Kind of hate to have my "beat up" garage in the background. Big hail storm back in July, really did a number on the vinyl siding. Still waiting to get it replaced. I replaced this chimney cap about 4 years ago. It's steel and required too much maintainence (painting). Went back with a powder coated stainless steel model. This was our first fire of any kind so far this season.
Ky river is pretty close by, do some catfishing from time to time. Gonna paint it camo color in the spring/make it a duck blind and maybe do some duck hunting next fall. It needs some work, but it's very stable. 16ft long and 60 wide at the bottom. The smaller one, we take out on ponds. It's only 12ft and seems a little "tippy" compared to the flat bottom.
Deererainman You will notice that you will post a picture that to you has the central object that you want to share a picture of. Then of the blue, people will ask all sorts of questions about stuff in the background. Happens all the time.
Yeah , I do the same. Can’t tell how many times I’ve commented on a saw pic on a workbench and I’m looking at the background items too. Neat to be on such a diverse group like this where you can observe objects and landscapes across the countryside getting an idea how the folks live their lives. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Like yourself I always seem to look at the surroundings of a picture , weather it is a saw on a bench or someone's stacks. Kind of fun , and this group is diverse to say the least.
