Well guys got the the word today and were the seem on the oil tank is bad.The guy that rebuilt the saw says he never seen that beforeI called stihl last week about the matter and said it looks like its coming from the tank and told yes the caps on ....lol ...it seems like it coming out were the case is jointed together i said to him they just rebuilt this saw and it was 3 years out of warranty and he told wait to see what the tech says well long story short stihl will cover the case and i have to pay 50 bucks for labor but not bad for all the work when it comes to my saws i cake care of them the never go into my truck bed without them being in the case.
Well that sucks. Least they bought the part. But too bad this was not known. You could of bought a nice pro saw for just a bit more used off here if you kept your eye out.
So i dont know bad seem or not the saw is 4 years old now if would think if it was a bad seam it would have taken a crap before this all i know is that stihl is covering it and that makes me happy so if it was dropped being rebuilt or a bad seam...its all good i guess there is a reason i bleed white an orange....
Yes someday would like to buy a bigger saw but i know what the wife would say.....lol when i bought the new ms391 when the old one took a crap i said hey i will have a parts saw then that change into cant just let it sit around so for alittle over 200 bucks can have it back then this
If a 18 years old boy who work for a stihl dealer can be a Master wrench technician after 3 days training I can for sure produce a satelite, a aerospace , or a nuclear weapon
