    That's very true but for me it was worth the extra heat and I really dont think the difference was all that bad possibly due to the fact that I have to run the Drolet so hard when it gets cold.

    Were you at least able to realize some gains (loss? :)) as far as wood use?

    I was using less wood but getting less heat.

    I feel the same way - don't want to get rid of the Fisher - I'm used to it and know exactly how it operates, and it keeps the house plenty warm - going on 3 winters now without using any other heat at all.
