Well it got a real trial by fire today! Move a LOT ! By a lot I mean a lot of weight! That trailer pulls like a dream!

It had probably 4000 lbs between the bed and trailer.

I have taken 4 or 5 short trips half hour or so. I issue so we went for it and hit the freeway to Detroit :wacky: came back loaded right down! It did just fine.

Stopped to check the hubs temp 4 times and not a single problem...

I need to get a spare tire for my trailer... where did you get your tires and rims? Or how do I figure out my rim bolt pattern?

The rims are from Tire factory in Owosso MI but any good tire shop should have them. You can order on amazon a lot cheaper but in the past I’ve gotten bent or half painted Chinese rims so I didn’t bother this time.

Mine are $59 a piece. Picked up 3 rims and a spare tire had the old 10 ply tires installed on the new rims and the new tire as a spare. All in all it was $229 our the door.

Pricey but we built it to keep for a long time and after the work we put in it it’s worth it to us.

My red trailer has rims from Walmart off the shelf and the where $34 each but they are much smaller and much cheaper.

    Here’s a good link!

I would still measure the bolt pattern it’s common on today’s trailers but not on all trailers .

To buy one new is $99 with coupon. And it comes with a warranty. I have used the crap out of mine: over 20 rolls of .030 Hobart or Forney wire.

He is asking new price for that one. You can get the 90 amp for around $89 on sale at HF a couple times a year. I think I saw it for $69 a few weeks ago actually.

They now have a newer version 125 amp for $109.

I’d have to say I personally like mig the best BUT if your planning on using it around the property on equipment out of a truck the better bet is ARC welding.

To be completely honest I’ve never been a big fan of the black Hf welders there not very good quality and when they break parts are about impossible to find outside of eBay used parts.

Wow that came out awesome Pete!! For some reason I didn't get notified of new posts on this! BTW I have been busy playing with my welder and made 2 plant stands and one 4.0 cu. ft. fridge stand.. Think I will also make a custom garden flag pole.. This is fun!

What thickness metal would you be welding? I have had success with steel down to 1/8" with my stick welder and have so far only run on 120V.. Here are some pics of some items I have made so far.. I am constantly learning and have a ways to go to be as good as Pete and probably never be good like Dave though.. I have really enjoyed creating things! The flag was something my granddaughter created so I made a custom flagpole so we can place it in the garden :)
