    Pricey also.
Nomex is required for certain applications, and it works well. But 95% + of non-commercial usage, a good set of leathers will suffice.
Personally- I'll take leathers 11/10 times over Nomex, for day-to-day fab. activities.
Nomex is for fighting fires, not welding.

My cousin picked up mig welding and makes little yard art pieces. She made a little dog just sticking scraps of metal and bolts together.

Starting the gate now making it with proper 45 degree angles. It won’t come apart when I’m done...

I built a big 4*4’ 1/4” steel top table years ago and found that even though it was nice it was in the way more often than not. When I picked up the current folding table the old one never got used. It’s a cheap HF table and worth every dollar. The ability to fold it up and put it out of the way, easily move it or angle to top for welding easier has made this table a keeper...

I was thinking this will be outdoors all the time and it could double as a shelter for the generator so it could be run in the rain.. Being SS it shouldn't rust up either.. 24" x 48" Stainless Steel Kitchen Work Table Commercial Restaurant Table 2448 848837015619 | eBay

Perfect 45! Did you cut that by hand with your angle grinder?

I wouldn’t use stainless it melts easier than steel in my experience and won’t last long. We use steel plate at work because of that. Our welders do an insane amount of welding food grade stainless, galvanized and steel. Tig, mig and arc even occasionally aluminum.

I’d think for you it might be fine but get a chunk of steel to lay on it when your welding...

Diamond cut off wheel on the chop saw that thing is amazing!!!!

I won’t EVER go back to fiber discs again this cuts like s hot knife through butter, much cooler and straight as an arrow. Plus it’s way cheaper in the long run.
