Thanks Larry:thumbs: she’s a trooper! I got the toilet set a few weeks ago thankfully and we are using the neighbors shower until ours is finished hopefully by the end of next week I’ll have the shower ready for use and plumbed in... Sooner if the work schedule allows it.

I've never had problems with grout and mold or anything. These are probably full of lead or asbestos, they're pretty old.

But I gotta do something soon because the little one inch floor tiles are starting to pop out.

It’s a Briggs from Menards. Made in USA tub which meant it was cheaper priced and plentiful. I screwed up and didn’t look closely enough at it which is where the bent lip comes in. That or I bent it which is more likely. :headbang:

Our last tub was plastic it was ok at best. When we pulled it out it was cracking in the base and had dried so bad that when I tossed it into the dumpster it literally shattered into pieces. It was supposedly replaced when we bought the house in 07 but I highly doubt it. It was turning pink from age.

Our neighbor bought a bootzcast from Home Depot and I’ll say for being plastic you’d never know it.... It is pre made with a structural mortar free base that you set and forget and it’s pretty solid but it cost $400 vs our steel tub with a mortar free base for $112 after the 11% rebate. Ours also had a structural foam base and actually voids the warranty if you set it in mortar. I thought that strange....

Mine was a Bootz Kona, which is a porcelain enameled steel tub - made in Indiana.

Well due to some issues I haven’t been able to get to the tile until this weekend. Hopefully by the end of tomorrow the shower and floor will be tiled all the way. The floor is cut out there is about 4sq ft left to mud there. It’s lookong pretty good.

Good news is that hoses are relatively cheap - not so busted plumbing - expecially when it is an emergency.

Probably couldn't be so lucky that the hose is coiled up so you could bring in and let it thaw in the sink hu?

Not a chance! That porcelain isn’t cheap stuff even if I got a good deal! If we had to buy that full price we wouldn’t have bought it:rofl:  I think the wife would go ballistic if I smashed the tile!:bug:

It's been a big project Pete.

And you are correct, when your tired more mistakes will be made, and (for me at least) the aggravation level gets too large.

You're making good progress, and the final goal is slowly becoming a reality.

    Almost there man.
