28 miles from Boston, that's just too close. I hope I never have to go there again.

We've got everything we need always, but Anything that should come up I stop in the store on the way to/from work. I will be driving in the heart of the storm and loving every minute of it. Duty calls, I'd prefer to be off though.

X2, us old school roof rakers are waiting to see your yankee inginuity at work on the big ones. I'd liked your protoype vids on the lighter snow.

Latest is 5-8 inches of snow, then freezing rain/ice.

Concern now is for power outages in the area. I'll probably following some water jugs to have on hand, as we have a well. Woodstove for heat. Propane cook top to cook.

Main concern is power outage and not able to watch the football game, sunday night. Guess I'll have my battery powered radio on hand. Go Pats!!

So after the swing and a miss , strike one, on the 1-3" that didn't happen last night, is anybody actually believing these "major snow" predictions?

We're supposed to get 1-3 and some icing this weekend....that could easily change because we appear to be right at the very northern edge of the ice line...wouldn't take much to change some of that rain into snow.

Rowerwet got an inch so far.. You just live too far south;)

This will be a full snow event for me, they're predicting two feet.. So a nice storm.. The storm is not concerning, I'm more worried about the forecast after that. MLK Day will be fifteen below with rain on Wednesday:jaw:.. Yup that will make ICE..

Looks like were just north of the ice line in the current models. Calling for a foot of snow and maybe a little ice.
    We'll know for sure Monday:handshake:

The weather we were supposed to get today appears to be a bust. No precip on the chart now. There's an occasional snowflake drifting down now and then. Blink and you'd miss it. Possible single digits for Monday. Still forecasting snow changing to rain for Saturday night thru Sunday. Bought bread and milk last night. But only because we were out.

Round one delivered as predicted. A coating to an inch. Only thing they've been off with today is the temperature. It's running about 4-6 degree colder than they said which is fine by me.
