Yea Had the exact same in January. YUK! is right. I had pumps pumping water out of the yard The melt pushed the frost deeper. Ice everywhere. Makes for a cold slow break-up & Spring, late for garden soil to warm up too. Get a couple pair of ice cleats & some sand, before they run out Gonna be a slippery mess !
Yeah, it's supposed to rain here Friday, on top of a lot of snow. Will be doing my best to get snow off the roofs. I've noticed it's easier to move/re-move snow with equipment vs … me n a shovel… … still, it's mighty perty…
I think you're right . LOL 1st time I've measured snow on the deck this year, 1-3/4" but not sure the ruler was calibrated so gave it some wiggly room in case I was wrong. When you have none, an extra 1/4" is critical Drove to Anchorage today, seemed like they got more there. (didn't measure it though ) Either way, glad to get it
This winter I am really glad I decided to go with a steep pitched roof, large overhang, no gutters, double row of perforated building drains. Dry basement, no issues with the roof.
Cover the grass, oh no! I want my view of the grass back. everything I look at is either white, or dirty white. I need sunglasses to be able to open my eyes. (unless it getting a fresh coating of white again.
The sun glasses were needed yesterday & today. Fresh white snow covered ground really reflects the light. Almost blinding , but a sure sign of Spring getting close Low teens at night, near 30° days & sunny is the forecast for a week. Sun glasses for sure
