Well, I guess I am the odd man out...I have a Husqvarna snow blower, actually it’s the only Husqvarna I own. I don’t have any complaints, it does what I need it to do.

I’m in northern Illinois, so it doesn’t get a ton of use but I am thankful to have it when I need it. I bought new for the simple reason of dependability.

I remember growing up in northern Michigan and my dad always had used snowblowers, most of the time my brother and I had the driveway shoveled by the time my dad got the snowblower running...go figure when my brother and I moved out he went and bought a brand new Ariens. Haha

mark.nowak oh I get it.. As a teenager I got the old one.. Dads father got new one.. Then when his baby sister became widowed, dad bought her a new one.. I got to "sharpen" my mechanic skill on the beast.. When gramps passed and aunt and dad went to condos.. I inherited all 3 plus mine:eek:..

I gave them to people in need.. I mean what's a 40 year old blower worth?? In a blizzard if it starts, runs and delivered.. Warm chocolate chip cookies and a cup of coffee!! :handshake:

Yeah, there's the snowtec that ariens builds as their low end line, they are good because they are based off of the regular ariens blowers, but as you noted, they have a plastic chute, and other ways to cut costs. There is a reason they don't have the ariens name on them though. I hear good things about them even with the cost cutting measures.
