Snow Blowers... The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

Well, I guess I am the odd man out...I have a Husqvarna snow blower, actually it’s the only Husqvarna I own. I don’t have any complaints, it does what I need it to do.

I’m in northern Illinois, so it doesn’t get a ton of use but I am thankful to have it when I need it. I bought new for the simple reason of dependability.

I remember growing up in northern Michigan and my dad always had used snowblowers, most of the time my brother and I had the driveway shoveled by the time my dad got the snowblower running...go figure when my brother and I moved out he went and bought a brand new Ariens. Haha

mark.nowak oh I get it.. As a teenager I got the old one.. Dads father got new one.. Then when his baby sister became widowed, dad bought her a new one.. I got to "sharpen" my mechanic skill on the beast.. When gramps passed and aunt and dad went to condos.. I inherited all 3 plus mine..

I gave them to people in need.. I mean what's a 40 year old blower worth?? In a blizzard if it starts, runs and delivered.. Warm chocolate chip cookies and a cup of coffee!!

 

Yeah, there's the snowtec that ariens builds as their low end line, they are good because they are based off of the regular ariens blowers, but as you noted, they have a plastic chute, and other ways to cut costs. There is a reason they don't have the ariens name on them though. I hear good things about them even with the cost cutting measures.
