Smokin' Turkey's

Just put on two Turkeys. One for me and one for a buddy. The smoky goodness begins.

Simple recipe:

Injected with butter, lemon juice, onion powder, and garlic powder. Oiled the skin topped with garlic powder and onion powder.

 

Sounds delicious..

 

….. What wood you smokin with?

 

Mulberry....

 

Ummm.... It was suppose to be 40 something and...... They missed it by a mile.... We've had snow flakes & snowballs.... 29 degrees currently....

 

That sounds delicious… I've never smoked with Mulberry, is it sweet?

Thistle got me turned onto it. It's like or comparable to apple wood.... Not over powering....

It's comparable to apple. Not overpowering. Nice light smoking wood.

 

Sounds perfect for chicken! Smoke whole chicken is my favorite!

 

I was just thinking the same thing... I picked up a couple varieties of Samual Adams lastnight...
