My son was just fooling around with it and stuck a k095 bar on it....3/8" .050 full comp. I made a half dozen cuts in 6" fresh cut elm just for fun..... I wouldn't actually use it that way for anything like real work.... I only posted it here to see what kind of reactions I might get. The only reason I have a 28" k095 bar, is that's what the Makita 6100 uses, and those saws are fat pigs, and just don't feel good to me with anything less than a 28 inch bar. For cutting 2" softwood limbs it might be pretty handy, actually.....
I hate long bars unless its needed then its great…you have a lot more agility around a wood pile with 16-20…also less time to file the chain..i run 20 in bar on 79cc saw and there is no shortage of power makes bucking fast
14in bar .325 58 cc saw…i like more speed and power if i need a 28 or 32 i will but any small diameter wood why waste the time
XS Ported 2511P... 12" narrow kerf 3/8 lp .043 XS Ported MS201C... 14" with Picco Super XS MS241C... 16" with Picco super XS ported Makita DCS401...16" with PM3 Each of these saws could easily run a 2" longer bar but I don't. 16" is the largest bar I own. Well, maybe..... My nephew gave me a Homelite 401 last night. I haven't even been out to see it yet. Its setting behind my garage. 68cc and 16.9 pounds according to acres site.
Nope.... 16" bar on this boat anchor. Boat anchor because its weighs 16.9 pounds empty sans cutting equipment, not because I'm a Homelite hater.
Just got carb kit done n i got extra bucking spikes and bolts for it a 16 in Oregon bar with like 5 chains
I only have a couple.... 14 to be exact with the addition of the Homelite but that has a home to go to already. I have a sweet resto mod Mcculloch Mini Mac I'll sell you.
