I guess I got a case of tennis elbow last fall/winter. I think it’s from running saws. Been thinking about starting a thread to see if it is common among people like us, and what can be done about it. I guess it’s getting a little better. But a handshake or lifting with arm outstretched still has discomfort.

Great thread Ford and good on ya with the firewood. :coldone:
Pretty sure your gonna be pizzed this year with the Oak as it wont burn the way ya want with any stove.
The stuff on the front left may not sizzle when burning this year but the rest looks way too new no matter what you do.;)

Yes, it can be common. Rest is about the only thing that helps, but heat can help some too. Usually it is caused from starting the saw; especially those that take 20 pulls or more; very frustrating but one time I watched a fellow and the next time I saw him start his saw I counted and it took 40 pulls to get it running. That is not for me! I would not have an engine that took that much cranking.

I think in this case its wood hoarders elbow Sandhillbilly
40 pulls!!! WOW!!! I rememeber cutting wood with my dad in the 1970's when i was a kid. He had this circa 1960's McCollough saw. It was a B#$%H to start for him. If it even would start!
All the Stihl saws ive owned have taken six or less pulls on a cold start. My 1985 028 would take four pulls every time.

Love the sassafras, I have a ton of it, smells amazing if you diffuse some small bits in a steamer on the stove

How is a hoarder supposed to rest his elbow??? Even handling splits and small rounds are a pain. Then to top it off this afternoon my 562 wouldn’t start at all, so that didn’t help any!!:headbang::hair: Never did get it going

Sometimes in order to rest the elbow, one also needs to rest the back side at the same time.
