    I always keep a hatchet in my truck during hunting season. Why dull my knives cutting through bone when a hatchet can do it easier and faster?

    And, I never knew anyone who actually successfully squirrel hunted.

    I do a lot of things in flip flops, have been know to split a round or two in them as well.

    It's definitely more challenging to hunt squirrels with a 22 rifle rather than a shotgun. It also improves your shooting skills before deer season.

    Unless you are wearing steel toes a missplaced axe or maul swing will take off a tow regardless of flip flops, boots, or tennis shoes.

    Yup, I had a buddy back in Boy Scouts who split his big toe in half, despite wearing work boots. Needless to say he wasn't allowed to split wood for troop campouts anymore.
