Rain or not, we'll be cooking some steaks on the grill today. I just couldn't wait for the hot peppers to turn red so I picked two for a hot tomato salad. If they're not real hot, I'll add some red pepper flakes. Hot Tomato Salad Ingredients: Oregano,Salt,Hot Peppers or Red Pepper Flakes,Tomatoes and Olive Oil.
WOODY- that meal looks EPIC! Steak is huge-corn looks saweet-and the hot tomato salad looks delicious! Love them placemats too. "EIBIGC"
When I was watering the tomato plants tonight I noticed some small tomatoes so after I was done watering them the acorn squash was next, we finally have them coming on each plant. The first pole beans we planted are up there pretty good, the second set of beans are not far behind, I'm hoping we'll be picking beans before the end of July.
What is this bug, it's after my hot pepper plant leaves. The ants are after them too, would Thuricide work?

Just a few pics from our so called garden, the tomato plants all have some nice tomatoes and the hot pepper plant in second picture is making a come back after spraying it with Neem Oil, I don't see any of those bugs around and the last pic is a healthier hot pepper plant.
We had some burgers, corn and I had another hot tomato salad with two Serrano hot peppers out of the garden, just enough zip to make your head sweat. http://bonnieplants.com/product/serrano-hot-pepper/ I can't wait until the Tabasco Hot Peppers are ready. http://bonnieplants.com/library/pepper-heat-levels/
The six pack of Goliath Tomato plants we bought in late May are doing great, one plant will have 20-24 tomatoes on it, I'll throw some pics up on Monday.
Most of the plants have 20-24 tomatoes (that includes the flowers) on them, we battled through the wet month of June but the water and baking soda mixture helped the plants until we finally got some sun. We have beans but we're waiting for enough so we can have it with a meal. The last pepper plant is a Golden Cayenne, once that is all golden it will go to my father for a hot tomato salad. http://m.bonnieplants.com/varieties/tabid/61/id/319/Golden-Cayenne.aspx
I forgot about some beans we had in the fridge that we ate tonight so the picking of our pole beans will be this week.
They were good, still some green on some of the yellow pole beans so hopefully in another week or less we'll have more.
