Yes I read. I'm making sure you get all the old gas out. Just cause you turn the engine upside down doesn't mean all the gas came out. Honda engines have a drain on the float bowl but that doesn't drain all the gas, you need to remove bowl to drain all out.
Well that's what I'm talking about I didn't mess with the carburetor, so it's not completely fixed yet, I didn't turn the engine upside down, I drained the fuel tank
You said you "dumped" it. I take that as turning it over. My point is not only to you but anybody that reads this thread is you need to get rid of all the old ethanol. Back in the old days you could top off stale no ethanol gas and it would freshen it up.
Update: Took the carb off and apart and cleaned it up good. Did not find any debris or blockage in the jet. Got it back together and she is running nice. No more surging. Thanks for all the tips/guidance.
