I have a concrete floor in my garage, and it is very very slippery whenever it gets wet. It's not a huge deal in the summer time, since any water dries very quickly. In the wintertime, however, it's almost always wet due to snow and rain. I also don't have any floor drains, but that's a different problem. Do any of the epoxies work at improving the grip of the floor. It's a 2.5 car attached garage. Thanks.
Get some clear sealer and mix in some silica (sandblaster sand). Just roll it on with a paint roller. That's what we do around the in-law's pool to keep the kids from falling down.
Sand is the answer! I like epoxy better than paint however. More than one product on the shelf at your local Home Depot/Lowes that would cure your issue.
Epoxy is good stuff when you have a good clean floor to start. Any oil or grime present and your asking for trouble. I epoxy painted the floor in the basement bathroom/shower and etched it with muratic acid first. Cleaned it all up and gave it that 220 grit sandpaper feel that you need for good epoxy adhesion.
I did that as a kid. One of my lawn cutting customers would have me mix sand into the paint can and I would paint his inground concrete pool in the spring. I have done it with colored epoxy in my garage, along with silica. Just enough texture to keep your feet still
