Flexeril! Took it at one time. First time I was out and I mean OUT for about 24 hours. Woke up with the worst hangover ever. After that it was 10-12 hours and still had a hangover. Other than that I get up once or 3 times a night to pizz. Might sleep 8 hours might sleep 2. Been like that since I was a kid. My mother hates me to this day.

What was the dose? I have a standing script for Flexeril for my back...don't need it that often though. He gave me a half dose size so that I can use it when I need to go to work (and operate heavy equipment) but even the full dose doesn't knock me out...just a lil sleepy.

Yes. Just not a frequent as you. It's especially bad if I'm designing something to build or there is a repair I need to do on something. I lay there and run through the various ideas ect.

Pretty sure Flexeril has been taken off the market (by Merck) . There are other brands, but they may be going, too. You may need a new scrip as a pharmacist may or may not be able to make a substitution. Plan ahead.

My doc gave me a script for cyclobenazaprine. Older muscle relaxer. Not a high mg Dose but doesn't seem to do much for me. I really don't like taking anything very strong because I have a cdl with tanker and hazmat.

I don’t know the dose. I had just broken my pelvis and got 3 plates and 27 screws installed. Massive muscle spasms in my leg. I never finished the bottle basically just took it when needed. After a few weeks things straightened out on their own.

Muscle relaxer that acts more like "Horse Tranquilizer" for a lot of folks, myself included.

When I take flexeril I feel like a stretched elastic band the next day. Not sure how else to describe it, but it just feels like the legs don't have any oomph in them.
It's a tool I seldom go to. I'd rather stay awake if that was the option.

Recently I finished a months worth of Flexeril. I had no side effects from being on it.

I had some sleep issues through my teens into my early 20s. Back pain was a factor. Eventually had to go see my Doc. He advised no caffiene after noon and put me on a two week run of Ambien to re-establish a cycle. Nowdays the only caffiene I get is from a single cup of green tea on workdays. I tend to go to bed at ten and get up at 5. Maybe a little later on the weekends. I'm not a happy camper without at least 6 hours, 7 is prefered.

Being sleep deprived is one of the worst health issues I have experienced in my life so far. I should never have waited so long to talk to Doc about it. I dealt with it for a couple years before finally asking for help.

I took Flexiril back in the early 80's for some sort of muscle issue that I don't recall anymore. I don't remember how I slept but I do remember I was dizzy and had balance issues. I quit taking it after a couple of days. Let's just say I wasn't a stranger to recreational stuff back then - so my leaving most of the bottle untouched is saying something about how it affected me.

Dang it! I shouldn't have opened this thread!

Ever since looing at it a few days ago, my sleep has been shot to heck!

Just as Woodwidow does, after laying awake for some time, I'll begin my morning prayers. At least some good comes from the lack of sleep.
