    I was telling my wife tonight on our ride that you might not be cooking down Maple sap again this year unless you get some snow.

    Yes sir......and it ain't looking good I'll tell ya that. I don't see any real deep freeze/snowpack in sight. I hope it changes! I'd really like to make syrup this year!

    Great pics Woody! Our storm is fizzeling to about 4". Im growing tired of these nuisance storms. 3 out of 5 days this week gave black ice when I travel early. I hope we get some decent storms throughout the east.

    I'm for some decent snow, the county trails need over a foot on the areas we've been on.

    It would help the economy up this way once the trails are ready. Last year February and March were the best months for riding in this area.

    We want to hit the Thirsty Moose (Restaurant & Bar) on the sleds again this year, it's about a 35 miles south of here on the trails.

    Thanks eatonpcat. I'm enjoying the time off from cutting but Mother Nature could help with a nice snowfall of about 12 inches, maybe we'll get some this week.

    Not much overnight, we received another inch of fresh snow last night.

    We did go to see this movie last night (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2084970/ ) we went to Sergi's in Canton NY for a meal after the movie which was very good. When we left the restaurant it was freezing drizzle which turned into snow when we got back this way.

    We both thought the movie was good, the wife thought it was very good.

    Because of the lack of snow the county trails in our area are still rough so we're still riding at the State Park and our property.

    Just a few pictures of the two rides I took today, the second ride the wife decided to go.

    Looks like it was a nice day, even with only an extra inch of snow. ( no Sasquatch's though, they only come out at night). ;)

    That movie has me intrigued, as I'm half German, speak German, and was a foreign exchange student to Germany back in HS.
