Anyone sell cut to length slab wood? What price do you get for 1/2 cord? And does it need split or just cut to length? I have a lead on a decent quantity of slab wood. Just wondering if its worthwhile.

most of the time slab stuff is pretty thin and about 50% bark. burns very fast and hot ( what I have left is all red oak). you could make small bundles very tightly held together in a trough or such to lope it off with a chain saw, but i found a small portable table saw (10") was faster and safer than bundle approach- still makes a mess.

My buddy @jbsawman sells a dump truck of full length slab woods for 50 bucks it turns out to be about a cord and it’s primarily black locust…when i ran out of seasoned wood it was very clutch..

I can get some ...maybe a PU full about half hour ride for me one way. I considered it, but havent gone yet. I get most of the scraps from buzz-saws mill too. I think its worth it if most dont require splitting. I was going to mix the nicer stuff into bundles. Lesser quality goes for cordage. I only take the hardwood unless all or nothing.
