    I did look up the range of Beech trees and was surprised to see how far south it grows. If I had to bet on it, I would have guessed the southern limit of its range would be Pennsylvania, West Virginia or so. You learn something every day, at least I did.

    Oh yeah, I love dat some beech. That will make some really nice future firewood.

    It's gooder for when the cold snaps set in.

    I have more to get myself. That beech is great firewood. I just can't bring myself to cut in the heat.

    I don't see it much further than far eastern Wisconsin.
