It won't be spring here until we can smell the wild leeks in the woods.

The last I checked it was 21 out, once the coals burn down I'll put some soft & hard maple along with a few splits of oak in the Liberty.

It's 41 tonight with some rain, they say we'll be around 32 for a low tonight so we'll burn some soft maple.

These were taken about a month ago, highly unusual for it to get that cold here. now supposed to get near 70 and a high risk of sever storms in the afternoon. we have had about 8 inches of rain in the last couple days. the ground is soaked and it won't take much wind to blow trees over. Lots of flooding here too. It's been some crazy weather, the other day it was over 70 in north Arkansas and south it was in the 40's

Most call them wild leeks up here but I'm sure some call the ramps.

We had 36 this morning with the temp not moving a degree either way.

I took some ashes out and then started our first fire around 11:30 a.m. this morning.

Those are nice temps, will we have an early spring or will mother nature extend winter in March?
