No real snow yet just a covering. It's about 32 f right now, not bad, as long as it's warm inside is all that matters. Tomorrow night supposed to drop to low 20's it's that time of year that us firewood guys enjoy. Stay warm brother
You have not seen anything yet. It was a high of 8 today and a -14 tonight. Same cold front headed your way.
I don't mind as long as the stove is on. It's that time of year. .I was born outback in the barn in my country so I love the cold. I'm from the mountains in Montenegro Yugoslavia
I do not mind the 30's and 40's but when it gets down to 8 degrees F any exposed skin just starts to hurt right away and there is always wind here so that adds to it. But like you said the stove is going with all that free BTU's and all is well. I am glad that I am retired and I do not have to go out to work.
Let's see Personal day off, Requested because you see a scrounge on the way to work Day off approved & You spend all of it cutting, splitting , stacking firewood True "Hoarder"
That wind makes it unbearable sometimes. Those free btus are priceless. That's good that you don't have to wake up early and go to work, it makes it easier. Enjoy your day
Gobsmacked reading these prices , my fire started as something iv always wanted . Ambience as I read in the thread . But my gas bill for heating and how water dropped by £20 a month to £45 a month . Mission now is to get it as low as possible . Every scrap of wood I have has been for free wi some hard work .
Hey Limey....how's things across the pond? Yes you got it bad....come off the grid with the rest of us!
