As a rule, I don't participate in oil or battery threads. My intent was to provide some useful guidelines pertaining to ALL batteries, the brand is your choice entirely and what I like may not be what you like and have no issue with that at all. My favorite battery or oil may or may not be yours. Non issue with me.

No, it's on the right side.

Funny you should mention that. Both my farm tractors have the starting batteries in the front, right in front of the aluminum air to air charge air coolers. Never had an issue but I know when the batteries gas off, the cooling fan is pulling the corrosive fumes through it and the aluminum cored radiator too. They get washed off quite a bit but I imagine that if I was lax about underhood cleaning, it could become an issue. John Deere wisely mounts their starting batteries on the outside, under the right hand step.

Yuasa are pretty much the gold standard for lead acid powersports batteries.

Probably true. Especially like stihl kicking said that even 4.9 star rated products will get even bad reviews. If one gets the 1 bad item in a batch, and you either don't get, or can't get proper resolution from the company, then you go online and give a 1 star. Or like I do, with heli-bars brand bar risers for bikes, I slam them every chance I get online. Crap welds on the bars, caused crystalization. Heli bar's engineering department said that I dropped my bike too many times. The bar broke off in my hand, luckily it happened in my driveway after my 70 miles commute that day. Sorry, not buying their BS theory and I'll run their name into the ground due to their customer service and engineering departments garbage assumptions and not stepping up like they should've.

Ya got to consider all of the bozos that handled the battery before you. I watched a battery get dropped at an auto parts store and first they were surprised that it didn't crack and second they were surprised when I told their customer that he really should not take it.

My compact Deere has the battery directly in front of the aluminum radiator.

Mine are full size (see my avatar picture). I run Group 31's with 1200 CCA rating. Takes a lot of oomph to spin the engines with 28-1 compression, especially on a clod winter day.

Still nice to get persons view.
I also try to avoid giving opinions. Especially my number one to avoid, "could you take a look at this _______ I'm looking at buying "

This is how I am with Sony products, I had a bad experience about 8 years ago. Their products are highly rated, but yet I'm boycotting them. :salute:

Not a clue. We have a Kubota GS 850 gas twin side by side. Wife bought it. orange of course. I believe it has a Yuhasa battery. Not sure, it's pretty new as in less than 30 hours. Have a bed mount spray rig for it. Makes a dandy sprayer.

Regulators have been an issue in them. easy fix though. Sometimes the regulators overcharge and that's been a big issue with the fires that have been documented. They did recall many though.

stihl kicking , have you checked the charging system? Had your 570 been recalled over the charging system?

Edit, I looked back and it's a new 21 570. I'd contact your dealer. I bet you have a bad battery. You are in Missouri, so not a place known for extremely cold temperatures either.

I use $25 lawn mower batteries on my ATV. I love them, usually get 5 years or so out of them.

I also read about rangers that you should hit the kill switch when you shut it off, not just the key off. Some people with these rangers have had draw issues if they don't hit the kill switch.

I haven't checked the charging system, but on the readout it shows it's outputting 14 something volts, once it gets running. With the comment in the manual about upgrading the battery, I think they just put in the lowest end battery they can get away with. I keep it on a battery minder when it gets cold, on first start, it just doesn't seem to have the umpf to keep it going. Takes a few attempts. I'll call the dealer to see what they say, it sure can't hurt.

That's odd...the kill switch usually just grounds the ignition system...they must have something completely different going on there.
Have you had the battery load tested? Most parts stores can do it for you.
Also, do you know what weight oil you have in it?

    Idk, just ruling out possibilities.

You might have a bad regulator.
