She does hear me ranting about politics, but I'd never subject her to such nastiness

I have a ladder stand that I leave up year round. It's about 5-6 years old. The squirrels did a number on the seat cushion over the years.

Last year I picked up a pop up doghouse blind. I like it. Goes up really quick but breaking the damm thing down is a pain in the ash. I also picked up an Ol'man climber off Amazon but I didnt like it so I sent it back.

A few weeks ago I picked up my first hang on stand with climbing sticks, Lone Wolf Alpha, for run and gun hunts. I'm looking forward to trying it out next month.

Between myself, FIL, wife's uncle, we have 24 ladder stands. But, the two elders among us are getting to the point where climbing those and sitting in them is becoming a deterrent to going out.

We were given a box blind at one of the properties that we hunt a couple of years ago. It is 6' x 4' with 4 windows. No pix on my phone of that one...

I want to keep them hunting and it is nice for taking a kid along as well. So, now we are in the process of building a couple more that will go on pallet racks. These will be 7'8"x4' with 5 windows, and the floor will be about 8' off of the ground. We can build one for under $500 each and they are coming together nicer than the prebuilt ones for $3k...

I'm so pumped up for this season that I just ordered a new BP today! :ups:

What about putting one of those on a cherry picker with rugged wheels....? Something that could get you up off the ground but still do it safely...

Edit: FatBoy85 didn’t mean to include a “SMH” smiley....

This is one of our tower stands, been up over 20+ yrs. Lost count of the deer that have been taken from it...
It's about 12' to the floor, 4x8 size, overlooks 2 food plots and a crabapple tree. Range is 200 yrds one way about 270 yrs the other food plot.
