Me and Ruger sitting at the desk after a big day of cutting He ate my slippers. now I have some Thom McAn's
Ruger was a great replacement when we lost Turbo. He took up right where Turbo left off. Here he is this morning when I woke up. On Mrs. TD's pillow. Too much wood cutting yesterday I guess.
Here are mine. Dress slippers on the left, work slippers on the right. Work slippers used for going to the garage to get more wood for the stove. Dress slippers are for when I want to look chic! No, I don't warm them on the Fireview; stove was cold for cleaning today.
And here I thought I was the only one to have two pair! One for the basement (grubbier) and one for the living room or when company comes over (nice show pair)!
OK, time to fess up. I just got the "dress" pair for Christmas as my "work" pair were coming apart as the stitching was failing. I really like the work pair so I did my redneck para-cord repair in red. Only then did I give both pairs their designation. The dress pair are the ones I will wear after all the work is done and I've showered and it is just time sit in front of the stove and stare into the flames.
Never seen it in a can before. Always bottles around here. DAB aka "The Dortmunder" from the Dortmunder Actien Brauerei. Good stuff
Ok, soooo. Some communities have a CAD. Here at FHC we have the SAD, Slipper addiction disorder. We go so far as to have multiple pairs, dress and shop. The SAD is truly sad. Sad sad sad.
Oldman47, do shop on the internet? Cabelas has clearance stuff right now, not as cheap as the Kohls stuff, but there will be real leather slippers. PM my your shoe size if I can help.
I ended up using the hawaiian camo slipper insoles in ancient hiking boots while my broken foot healed. I noticed part of new flower boat shoes in this pic.
New slides for the boat, and home chillin' compliments of my dogs for Father's day. For my Dawgs, from my Dogs
I hate flip flops, that big toe strap thing sucks . These, yeah, they are comfy, and they stay put pretty well when I want them to stay on my feet. I normally buy convertible sandals, that you can flip the back strap up for slides, or down for sandals that won't fall off. They last a couple of years, as I wear them all summer. However, there was an error while ordering and the Columbia sandals were not the "interchange" variety that is convertible, so I needed a second pair.
