It must be hell having all that honey locust, hedge, oak, and mulberry. I will take a hit and exchange some pine for that hedge if you want. Don't wait too long or I may change my mind. Matter of fact, you shouldn't think about it, its a good offer, so you should just do it! :D

1.83 Cord (6 NYS face cord) of Hemlock, White Pine with some Bigtooth Aspen.
3.05 Cord (10 Face Cord) of Cherry
Plenty of Beech, Sugar Maple and some nice Ironwood. In a normal winter we'll burn 1.22 cord of Beech and Sugar Maple.

Spruce and silver maple are in my shoulder pile. There isn't much of it though. I have a lot of spruce that was dropped this spring but that's sitting another year at least.

Most of the rest of my pile is white ash. Sucks that the borers killed it, but at least I can put it to use.

This reminds me, I have a pile of Hemlock in the woods I split a couple of years ago. I need to get it out for the shoulder season.

Had a lady contact me today, they are in need of wood now, they are cold.. I never do understand folks that depend on wood heat waiting until the last second.
Last winter, around Christmas time, I brought wood to another lady, they were burning telephone books and garbage to try and keep warm cause they ran out of wood.

Shoulder wood for me is all the punks, uglies and shorts collected through the years. I keep everything.
Theres probably 6-8 varieties in the pile. I have a small corral thats 10'x8' and pallet height high. The
pieces are dried at another site and brought home during the summer and tossed into the pen. I'll burn all that
this fall. Looking forward to this season :)

I've got nothing but EAB killed ash this year. Shoulder season will get chinks and uglies but that's only about a face cord of my stacks.
Honestly, I should have gotten more wood this year for next, but I am just gonna hit it hard once the leaves fall and temps drop.
I have a cord of good dry 2 y/o sugar maple at deer camp I can go get if absolutely necessary.

I have around a cord of some aspen/poplar, and a 15' anthill that was at the base of that massive ash I hauled from the neighbor's house. Handful of uglies too. The hardest stuff I have ready for this year, is soft maple. :( Going to be a steady diet of those until the better hardwoods that I'm hauling are dry enough.

You ever burn that ironwood? How is it? That, and some type of elm, are my main understory species. Never burned any of that yet, but I may need to remove a couple to open some trails up better.
