Pretty wild huh?! Burn the high BTU stuff for shoulder season, and the low BTU (low coaling) stuff for polar vortex! Seems backwards, but it absolutely works!

Temp pretty much mid sixties over 24 hours. I debated putting anything in for overnight, but just returned. Only threw in a couple big splits. And some uniforms that can’t be used, and shouldn’t lay around

If it makes you guys feel any better, it’s been colder than average here. It’s been well below zero when I get up every morning - and we’ve had over 20 inches of snow in the last 3 days.

Currently 9 degrees here and flurries.

Had ten inches rain in past week, two 5-inch rains. That'll mess with the loggers. If somebody ordered wood, I wouldn't let them into my yard for another day or so, at least, too wet. Nothing cooler than the 60s in the extended forecast. And this is, typically, the coldest time of the year.

Same here in SW Ontario, Canada. It’s warm and wet, I have my primo firewood, poised and ready for action when the cold weather comes. I even turned my wood boiler off for 3 days over NY!

this time last year we were ice scaring on our pond, it’s barely got a crust on it currently

Weather here remains unchanged since this time last week. Cloudy damp, occasional rain and temps in the upper 30's to low 40's. December came in at 11% sunshine, and January has been near zero % so far. Ground is mush and nothing will dry out outdoors. Another miserable and anemic winter shaping up. Kids don't want me to move to Alaska near Rope , I may move in next to Cash Larue. Can't take much more of this!

I don’t know, buddy - Michigan seems pretty awesome. But if you move up here, I’ll get you in a primo spot. And we can drink beer in the clouds together!

Man that’s a tough one. Alaska has planes and they can come visit, we have phones too. In all seriousness you should figure a few places you think you may like and go visit to see if you may like it there. Do some research and see what’s what.

If I remember correctly, last winter was pretty mild until February. Then the bottom fell out and the wind howeled.

Then it stayed on the cool side right up until the second week of May :headbang: I remember running the stove one last weekend and then putting my pool up the following week because the temperature shot up into the mid 80s.
