61 according to my weather station! :)

Edit: I think it lied! Other weather station says 55 degrees which I think was about right..

It's been so long that I almost forgot how to run the stove with these temperatures. We hit 42 yesterday but by 3:00 it was feeling chilly. Still had a lot of melting. Today temps in the high 20's. Looks like low 40's for Monday. We'll take it.

As for shoulder season wood, we burn the same except that we don't put oak in the stove. Last night I put in 4 ash splits and we were fine. Had enough coals to get the stove going this morning.

I just split up a bunch of my larger splits, oh yea, and rutted the crap out of my yard! Took my new rider and trailer back to the mulch pile to mulch the extra muddy holes, and the mulch pile is still frozen solid! It's been sweater weather the last couple of days.
