I haven’t started to burn yet. I need to give the ol girl a deep clean. I installed a heating and cooling pump unit like 2 years ago so I use that unless it get really cold then it can’t keep up and I use the stove. But I noticed pellet prices near me are outrageous this year. I like like 30 min south of Albany in NY and last year my dad bought Allegheny (junk) and they were like 239 or 250 a ton. This year they are 289. The place sold curren blend, Allegheny and dry creek. Sorry I just checked and curren blend are $289 Allegheny and dry creek are $299. To me that’s outrageous. Home Depot near me has green supreme (not sure which ones this year) but I tried the northeast blend last year and they seemed pretty good. But I can get cubex for 289 but I heard their quality has really gone down hill

Yeah I'm actually going to install one of those myself next year , tired of window AC and the extra heat option will help when needed.

I absolutely love it. I have a slab house so no basement but we have a think 18k in the living room feeding air into the kitchen and 3-9k’s in each of the bedrooms and they work awesome. I went with dakin. They seem to be pretty good. My father in does hvac for a living so we installed it and he got a deal on everything and it came to like $6500

I actually liked the Blue Ridge blend. Assuming they burn the same as last year I'd have no problem roasting those for the season.

We installed 1 outside unit -> 3 inside units two falls ago. Loved them so much we just had another outside unit -> 2 inside units installed, providing coverage for the remainder of the house. Mitsu hyper heats - love them, one of the best investments we ever made.

Sad but true story . I have 3 bags of pellets on hand , still waiting on my first pension check to get here hopefully at the end of the month. Don't take this wrong we're hanging in there but usually I'd have 2 1/2 tons inside by now . Fortunately the weather has been mild so just a few bags at a time of Chows :faint:
