Oem gasket kit is nice, but if you’re not splitting the case or removing the jug it may not be worth it. Weedeaterman/hlsupply may have the seals.

I'll keep that in mind about the AM seals. I have a set in a 350 husqvarna. I'm not very happy about the cost of the Stihl seals. I just looked real quick and I did not see an AM flywheel seal. I think it is different than a 046. I'll be careful to make sure the seal is all the way in. I was planning on using a socket to drive it in.

I hope this is my only air leak on this saw. I'm anxious to get these seals in so I can see what else I need to do. I bought it as a non runner. It needed a coil. I checked it out once I got home and the coil is dead. It is the CDIC coil that is limited to 12000RPM. I stuck an MS290 coil on it and had it running. That was when I discovered the very high idle. The wire harness is rough, so I need to make a new one. The next big thing is the coil. It kicked the one time I started it. I'm not sure where the timing is so I need to get seals in it and check the timing.

The cdic coil flywheel is usually the 1204 fw single key. That particular coil may have a spot for the unlimited key, but is not broached. Randy and others have broached them with success (timing has to be right...or close).
Since your case obviously has the newer/better mounting pattern, all you’ll need is the correct fw or fw alignment to have a great running saw.

2 of mine have 1201a fws with 1128 ignitions. The other has the elusive dogleg coil and unlimited fw.

Weedeaterman carries the AM seal (any leftover 660 pto seal from your china build should work on the other side).

My seals came into today and I got them installed. The metal portion had separted from the rubber on the flywheel side. The metal portion had slide out and was stuck on the flywheel. It gives a whole new meaning to a two piece seal:rofl:

If I would have known that sooner I would may have gone with AM seals. I took pics of the new seals since they have the dimensions on them for future reference. The seals I got started with 0000 I think. I do think they may be a new seal that is ethanol friendly. The rubber was blue.

Yeah right now it is probably challenged but the crazy thing is when I was messing with it, it kicked one time when I went to start it. I am probably going to need the dual key flywheel. I might be able to get it close and run key less temporarily. I was glad that this case had the modern mounting pattern. I'll look at the flywheel but I don't think it has the spot for the unlimited key.

I got the saw running today. It sounds good. I did not put a bar on it yet.
