    that is a good idea to have him pay to have the trees felled!!! then come collect what i want. the wood is mostly ash and oak. so its good stuff. IMO. sounds like your land lord is trying to take your kindness for weakness.

    I’d help or not but not based on what’s fair. If you want to help a friend, just do it. If it is crossing your mind that it is a bad deal, walk away. Not worth feeling resentful towards a friend and no need to justify it to him. If you have to convince him what’s fair or not, it isn’t a mutually beneficial relationship. Negotiation is for business
