Just go grab an awesome 40 cc +or- saw at the best dealer in your area and you will be happy. Until you think you need a better saw then the 029 for the large things.

Picked up an MS260 for $160, sharpened the chain fixed the kill switch, cut few cords and the MS290 went on Craigslist. People buy those 290s up on craigslist. I sold mine in two days for $275 and kept the case for the 260.

I know Ohio gets cold in the winter HoneyFuzz but I'm not so sure about Alabama, Mr. basod . I know my saws get a good workout, I'm at 5300 feet above sea level---- it does get cold here!

Stopped by still dealer as I got oil to change in tractor.. right now with 25 inch bar and 2 chains the 661 is 35 dollars more than the 461 at about 1100 out the door... was thinking but if I am paying that much for a new saw I want arctic edition which are not available according to dealer on east coast:hair:... I don't know how to fix them so unless I bought used from here I wouldn't

That sounds bass ackward Canadian Border. The left coast is quite warm all year compared to the north east.

I know... I still have a hard time paying 1000 dollars for a saw that gets used 10 hours a year.. but I am being given 30 to 50 inch diameter trees. need at least 25 inch bar.. but for that money I want my heated handles. .. loved them on jonsered.. in winter

Might be time to look at another saw brand. Dolmar, Echo, Husqvarna, Jonsered and others are all out there begging for customers. From what I have seen most of them are about equally reliable if you go for their pro line.

oh I am looking but prices are similar in the 75 cc range.. if I needed another 50 cc the echo would win for price.. don't have dolmar dealers could go husky 37?xpg same money less resale if I hate it..

Does Echo offer heated handles? I know Dolmar does not in the US, dunno about Can-a-dia.  Husqvarna and Jred do though.

No but had the 50 cc on sale for 345 at dealer in may for price I would deal with it... husky Jred dealer is rental place and most of employees remind me of your avatar... but not in a hurry so I will keep looking at classifieds.. just surprised me 661 only 30 dollars more than 461..
