I missed this post before. The issue wasn't buildup - I have the decarbonizer - the issue was corrosion from years of sitting (from what I'm told) in a barn in Alaska. Must have started to rust a bit as the surface was pitted.

It's an 084. Frankly, I won't touch an aftermarket part (other than a Meteor piston) with a 10' pole, but also I haven't seem an AM decomp valve for this model?

Yea probably not one for an 084.

Meteor is from the same company that makes farmertec/huztl

From the same company or the same factory? For the record, I have no intention of turning this into an aftermarket parts debate. I didn't say any certain brand of AM parts was inferior. I just said that I personally won't use any AM parts other than a Meteor piston. I'm a HUGE fan of OEM . . . despite the cost. I've explained all this before on another site, but I'm a saw-flipper and a full believer in full disclosure. The people I sell to don't want to hear they're buying a saw with AM parts. Right or wrong, that's the market I sell to.

I'm not fighting your decision. Just thought time would be better spent putting an AM valve in. But yes I doubt there is one for it.

As for same factory or company??? Not sure just that in a package I got from a Huztl part I got which is farmertec there was this card in there. It surprised me.

That looks to me like they sell Meteor and Farmertec. Kinda like the dealer I worked for sells Stihl and Husqvarna. Not that they come from the same company.

Oh ok. I have not noticed huztl selling meteor on ebay. But I am not an AM parts expert or china parts expert. Dave would be better to ask and see if he has an idea?
