It’s ugly downtown… damage mostly in a patch about 1 mile long and 3 blocks deep… but extensive. I watched it from my office lot about 3/4 mile away… wasn’t even raining there.
Just missed a wicked hail storm by about a mile here. Right up the road they were getting golf ball sized hail and some spots got even bigger! My parents are on the other side of town and got it pretty bad but thankfully no damage.
1 dead, 40 ish injured… very low numbers for where and when it hit… about our busiest time of the week.
We have a Severe Thunderstorm Watch on with the sky getting darker, our first hit if the radar is correct will be around 4:40 p.m.
In Potsdam NY they have trees down on a house and across the roads, just north of here. The storm drop the temp from 84 to 71.
North of here four different towns have 790 without power, we were on the southern edge of that storm. According to the power outage map, everyone one is back online. It has cleared up here with the sun out, when the next storms come in, I'll tell you.

was helping at a community festival. Just after the parade, a storm blew in. People took shelter on the building I was working in. Got home and a tree 6-8 inch maple was blocking most of my road. ran the Mule down with some gear, after radio call to dispatch. Cut away the top half that was across the road and dragged it where in can turn it into firewood. Tomorrow I will get the lower trunk and cut both up. All was fine until 8:00 and power went out across a big swath of the popcorn area. Sitting in the dark , tethered to my phone. I suspect some big trees fell after the ground was soaked.
