Severe Weather ?

Yup. We're in the darker area. Would be nice to get some rain out of it, with no damage.

 

Seems like the conditions are brewing up properly for some afternoon boomers.
Very little sunshine today, I just now rolled it back into the shop.

...Scattered Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Expected This
Afternoon and Early This Evening Across Portions of the North
Country...

A very unstable air mass will lead to strong to severe thunderstorm
development across portions of northern New York and Vermont this
afternoon. Thunderstorms are expected to develop around noon and
continue through sunset before reducing in intensity and ending
around midnight. The greatest threat for severe storms will be
across Essex County of New York and south of US Route 2 in Vermont
where the primary threat will be damaging winds and dangerous
cloud to ground lightning. Large hail is also possible, in
addition to brief torrential rainfall.

If you have outdoor plans this afternoon into early this evening,
keep a close eye on forecasts and warnings. Have a plan to move
to a sturdy shelter if threatening weather approaches your
location.

Remember, when thunder roars, head indoors! Be sure to listen for
additional updates, including any watches or warnings, from your
National Weather Service, media outlets and NOAA Weather Radio.

 

Sure is nutty weather, in the past 35 minutes it's now blue sky and puffy clouds with a lot of sunshine.

 

i had a big one blow up west of me yesterday afternoon...it was growing rapidly and went severe with 60mph winds and penny size hail.....i was watching it come over the mtn from my yard and it started breaking up....NWS pulled the warning and the whole thing just imploded into nothing within only a few mins....got a sprinkle

 

So far things are starting up east of us, it looks like Vermont and east could be in for a interesting afternoon or night.

that thing was rotating pretty good a lil bit ago....

We just got a big downpour with big gusts. Didn't crack my 100' pine, that's the important thing.

 

Dodged us. Went north, but reports of trees down southern NH. Those low, dark gray clouds always concern me. Of course I have to go outside to see what's going on. Not much rain.
