Well 1 car has winter tires other summers so I get to chauffeur today. About 1/3 inch ice, I like studded tires
Some sleet here, overnight. Just warm enough for no freezing rain. I think I'll take a pass on running the marathon this year to feed the stove and enjoy the warmth. Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
We hit 42 this morning with some winds but all the ice was off the trees so that was good. Most of the schools in this area are on a two hour delay.
Brought wife to work daughter to school, remember to remove ice from roof of vehicles, 3 accidents I saw were caused by that.. Assume other guy didn't and leave more space
Chit is blowing hard here. Ice flying everywhere and hitting the cars house etc. No trees down yet, still have power. I need to get my weather station up higher. It never reads the real gusts! This irritates me!
I got mine at 32 feet but I'm protected in a hollow at the base of a mountain so I'm not gettin what I could
We have a major line of storms approaching... the conditions are right for them today... will see how it goes in a few hours...
The winds have gone so we're just waiting for some rain, the water on the river across the road is high especially if you live on the water down in Colton on the Gulf Road, it's started to surround one camp/house along with moving up the yards of a bunch of houses.
Well the Chazy must be flooding (of course its spring) and Coos county have been on alerts since Friday.. So more rain will help..
Stay safe everyone. Yes, the Connecticut river one town over is flooding. Across the river is maidenstone, also flooding.
The last snowfall in Tupper Lake NY didn't help, they received around six inches of the wet snow so all that is coming down the river out front but back here after having some nice days it seems dry.
It just seems crazy that have a whole alert for one or two rivers that always have the flood in the same spot. 40 years ago they cure the problem because during the dry periods and go down with an excavator and pull the gravel out of the bottom of the river. They're not allowed to do that anymore and erosion fills the riverbed. So these problems are only going to get worse not better. Just my opinion.
