The snow started falling here, 9pm last night. Looks like 3-4 inches of snow so far. Nothing light and fluffy. Heavy and wet snow. Grab and throw snowballs snow.
3-4” of snow here in CT. I believe it changed over to mix over night. Snowblower is fixed and I picked it up yesterday. I’ll get to play with that later today.
Forecast from the Portland station for Tuesday's storm. 10-15 inches of snow and then turning to heavy rain with wind gusts up to 60mph going into Wednesday.
Sounds like it's going to get pretty nasty here in the NE tomorrow afternoon into the overnight. Calling for 1-3" of rain with sustained 30-40mph winds, gusts 50-60. Today after work I pulled the genny around to the front of the shop and got everything ready to go just in case. Have enough diesel to keep her running for a few days. Also brought in another couple days worth of wood.
Yeah, this is going to suck with 3-6" of snow on top of the 9" now, then a couple inches of rain. My roof hasn't dumped yet so when it does it will be massive.
Thankfully we don't have any snow on the ground here but I feel for those of you who do. This is going to be a mess. Hang in there!
Big storm here. Already we have enough to cover the ground. To add insult, we are now warned we could get up to 2". My God, there is probably a stampede at the stores. After all, 20 million folks are at risk.
It just stopped snowing here after dumping about 4 inches of the white stuff. Now the north wind is picking up. Below zero temps are forecasted for this weekend. Stay warm and safe, everyone.
This should be interesting. All rain n CT with winds. In our part of VT, currently snowing and switching to rain overnight with winds. What a weird “winter”.
There's a nor'easter blizzard forecasted here for Tuesday. Up to 12inches of snow, high winds, and heavy surf.
Could very well be. I havent heard them use the word bombogenesis yet. They are referring to the winter storm as Lorraine.
