Area beaches, rivers and coastline are all under "High Bacteria" warnings. The inches of rain we got, inundated water treatment plants resulting in the release of untreated water. IE: raw sewage was dumped. More than 50 Massachusetts beaches remain closed due to high bacteria levels and harmful algae
I saw that on the radar while I was making some spaghetti sauce for later on (going in the freezer), so far it has stayed north of the St. Lawrence River.
It's happening all over with the heavy rains everyone is getting, I watched our local news out of Watertown NY, they did that and some people that were going to fish in Dexter NY saw raw sewage floating by so that ended that fishing trip.
