I dug into the forecast discussion on the NWS page. They are saying 1-3” possible. Geez. It was to have some dry weather for a change this weekend.

Usually in August we need rain but after the July we had, four or five days without rain would be nice.

Today the lawn needed cutting along with the trails, that was done at 12:30 today so the yard looks a ton better.

The way summer has been for us, it makes you wonder if mother nature will throw an old fashion winter at us.

Just what we need, I've been waiting for a dry stretch but it doesn't look like we'll get one.

Most of this rain fell overnight, we received 20 mm or 0.787 of rain. Yesterday the heaviest rains stayed west of us tracking north and today they look like they're staying east of us heading north.

We got 3.5 inches of rain from that thunderstorm and a tornado did touch down in Mattapoisett.
Many news helicopters were flying circles over the area.
5 inches for the last 48 hours.
I don't think our deficit of rain is a deficit any more.

It has been raining pretty hard since after supper, places that usually don't have any puddles do.

At 8:52 a.m. this morning we had 20mm or 0.787 of an inch of rain, we didn't have much rain for most of the day but after supper mother nature let it come down pretty hard. It stopped raining about 3 minutes ago so I checked the rain gauge, 40mm or 1.575 of an inch of rain.

Some places in NH got 4" and I saw one guy posted his rain gauge with 6" in it. I got like 3 drops and no wind at all. I wouldn't have minded getting some rain so that others weren't so inundated, but more than happy not to have gotten the wind.
