When we got home from church today, my wife thought she saw some damage to the siding. It was only bird poop
Mount Washington had the wettest July ever at nearly 17" of rain. At least there it can all go downhill
Just a slight chance for our area, the rumbling has started west of us but the rains showed up about an hour ago.
Not much rain from the first system, it looked like it was going to rain hard with some possible winds but we received under a quarter inch of rain so far and the suns out. The next system moves in around or after four this afternoon but looking at the radar it looks like it goes north and south of us, we'll see if that stays the same or changes.
The system I thought would split us came through around 3, heavy rains with thunder. I went back to the weather site that I used the radar from when I posted the above post (#2285) the site had the dot for our down 12 miles south of where it usually is so the system splitting us went right overtop of our town. We didn't get any high winds so rain and thunder isn't that bad. All the other weather sites had our town in the correct spot.
Canadian border VT , there' a bunch of storms starting in Peterborough, Belleville, Kingston up to Ottawa heading this way.
Yup my shepherd is better than radar; Rained last 15 minutes sun came out.. calm before next storms.. we’ll pretty sure there’s not a drought
Started watching a movie called supercell tonight but realized azzhole Baldwin was in it so shut it off
Had a tornado watch not too far from me. It is down in a valley, so they couldn't get a good look at the winds on radar, since that part fo the state comes out of Albany. But they could tell there were greens and reds real close to each other in one section. The watch didn't last long though. What did happen was 4 kids at camp were taken to the hospital after a lightning strike. Thank goodness they weren't directly hit by lightning and the hospital was a precaution. A couple of towns got enough torrential rains they had flooded roads. My town was at the edge of that cell. Although we did get a deluge, it didn't last long so we didn't get nearly as much rain as those places.
We had some rain overnight/early Friday AM in VT. It rained some yesterday, but looks like the heaviest remained to our north. Hope everyone is doing OK. Nice change today. My wife and I are out on the deck having our morning beverages. And the sun is out!
I was just looking at the forecast for our area from Monday through Tuesday night, on the low end they have us getting 1.5 inches and the high end of the rainfall forecast 2.25 inches, what is your area in for?
The rain never stops this summer, we haven't received the rain Vermont has but it has still been wet for most of July, August is starting the way July ended.
