All around us currently here but as usual everything splits thanks to Mt. Washington. We received .02" of rain. Hardly enough to even wash the pollen away......
We had the same here, just a quick rain for about three minutes, nothing that will help. Except for mowing early in May, I took part in a no mow May or our lawn would be brown. Starting on Monday is when the next rains move in, we'll see if that happens.
I was watching thunderheads build all day. Got cloudy about 430 and a couple rumbles then enough rain to get everything wet. Came home and nothing hit here. 10-15 minutes North of New Haven. Did notice the air seemed cooler. No complaints.
A person was struck by lightning in the town next to mine. 5 houses/buildings struck were struck and a brush fire started by lightning. All that in my little area of the state. Only got about 1/8" of rain from all the little cells that went thru but the thunder/lightning, and at times the wind, were intense.
Just heard some thunder so I thought I would check NOAA's site, hopefully we get rain. Very smoky here from the Canadian wildfires. You can smell it in the air and visibility is reduced. I hope we get a good passing shower to purge the air for a bit.
The Air Quality Alert is still on for this area but the Special Weather Alert is off, we didn't get much rain from it.
We did get some rain but just enough to wet the roads, they were calling for up to an inch of rain this week, that would be nice.
No rain here in western New Jersey. Sky is sort of yellowish overcast. When we were going to town earlier today the road ahead looked hazy.
We might get just under half an inch Monday night but they also said we would get close to an inch by this weekend, I doubt that the inch of rain will happen.
That's always nice. I was watching our local TV station out of Watertown NY, once the weather came on they said the winds will be switching and coming out of the south which should start clearing some of this smoke out so the weekend should be nice.
