Got a gully-washer here this evening. I was still at work and we had some flooding in the building due to a rainwater collection system overflowing.
This beauty just rolled into the valley here. Heavy gusts of wind and lightning. South of here must be getting whacked. We got a nice downpour out of it. Cool dry air is on the other side of this.
We had a good hard rain for about 15 minutes around 4 today, more chit coming in. A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHEAST ST LAWRENCE AND SOUTHERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES... That cell had a microburst with 75 mph winds at a town southwest of here. We're due for more rain overnight into tomorrow.
Stay safe guess! We have storms and rain expected over the next few days, so I hope we get much needed rain.
Flood watches in effect. I'd say we're out of the slight drought we were in. Storms ALL night dumped very heavy rain on the area, with a lot more expected today and tonight.
Stay dry, we dropped to 45 this morning with some nice rain, I think Gasifier area had heavier rains.
North of us got pounded relentlessly. I hope your future outlook allows you to get the trail up to that maple. It wouldn't surprise me if much more comes down from the wind from these storms. Happy first day of Hurricane season folks!
Cool and wet here today, but that is OK. We need some moisture. I saw a brown lawn Saturday. Too early for that. That was an exception. I have had to water the plants nearly every day for the last week. I can take today off. Lots of banging going on downstairs during our rebuild.
We got about 1/2-3/4" this morning and it nothing throughout the day. It's been raining since i got home from work about an hr ago. Some good lookin storms poppin up on the radar. Bring it on, we need every bit we can get around here
I've never been so happy to see rain. Im a bit south of the little location marker person. It's a sweet show from the front porch. That next batch of dark red is headed right for us.
The storms have been staying well south of us today. We recieved a steady rain since the afternoon. Smokinpiney, i saw some nasty chit heading your way earlier. The radar showed a round purple area. Alittle while later, tornado watches were posted for a bit in south jersey. Stay safe!
We just had a thunder cloud roll over use, dumped about 1/2" overflowed the rain gutters. Good for the garden yard & the truck looks a lot cleaner. Could use some more, 50% chance for some tonight. Rare to get lighting , glad it was rain & not hail, (hail pokes holes in the garden plants).
Well Seasoned all good here buddy. Thanks for the concern. It did get a nasty around 10pm but thankfully just a ton of rain, thunder and an awsome lightning show. I took a half day today to help my cousin at his camp ground down in seal isle city. Apparently they got slammed all afternoon and into the night and the screen room on his camper collapsed. Gonna go see what kind of mess that left. bogydave hail is no beuno!
Tornado watches/severe thunderstorms rolling through, blinding rains & wind expecting to keep on throughout the night-on and off through tomorrow. Im seeing tornado watches in NY as well. How's everyone's weather? Be safe!
Not bad here, rained last night, rained couple times today but no bad storms. Sounds like it's time for you to go camp out in the basement. Stay safe man
