237x145_12121510_hd27.jpg Forecasters are split about where the temps will be. They seem to think that temps may rise Saturday night during the height of the storm, but I know typically when it snows, temperatures drop.

A wood burner friend had his oil delivered about the same time as me from the same company, we live about 2 miles apart. His went on his cellar floor! Another good reason to get rid of oil if you can. I can only imagine what is house smells like now. His home is huge and he still has some dependence on oil.

Did your friend's tank spring a leak?

Not good, not good at all, Hazmat time.

I had planned working the weekend in the woods, if I do you'll be seeing a small fire in the area I'm working, not sure if it's worth working in this cold.

I don't know the details. He didn't attend an event we were at that he should have been with his wife. His wife only knew of the spill, no details. He is a chemist. I know he is aware of what he is confronted with.

I'll bet his plate is full.

Well it got below zero last night by just a bit before it started warming up acco9rding to the boss.

House is warm and that is all that counts.

More than 6" possible for us in the coming weekend storm.

Quit yer complaining, you left out the -20 to -10 inland locations are likely to see overnight tonight.

The last accumulation figure I saw (just 30 minutes ago from the same source is saying 4 - 7 " for section showing 3 - 6" above.

I was happy when I crawled out of the sack this morning that the temperature was in the teens on the plus side because when I got up around 1 AM to take a tums to settle the heartburn (note to self never drink a heavy ale after 9 PM) it was -1.5.

In the teens, I don't know if it made it into the teens here today. It was 3F when I got up I think about 8 AM. I took the dogs out last evening. So cold that the female came over to me and sat on my foot! The female is only 10 months. She doesn't seem to have developed that undercoat that the 7 year old male has. He lays in the snow, but is eager to come in after 10-15 minutes. So am I by then!

Lol, best of luck on upgrading, I can't go any bigger because I don't have the space so hence forth my little jotul won't heat till morn. so the furnace kicks on and no I am not going to get up in the middle of the night to feed it....I can deal with burning about 100 gal of oil per year. :)
