Severe weather alert

Looks like the storm is ending, windy and cold. It was a dry snow here. My son in law came over and fixed the discharge chute on my snow blower. I had to order a new cable. Out of stock everywhere. Finally got it from a hasquavana dealer. Snow blower is fixed, but I fell off the stairs in the garage. Landed my fat a$$ on my let hip and knee. Lucky for me nothing broke, but it aches some. I only have a rail on one side. Looks like I'll need to but one on the other side. Snow removal will wait for another day.

 

Global warming my A@@. It's 10 degrees out there tonight

It's definitely not a night to be outside. One of those nights when the weather is hazardous to your health.

Yeah...this is mild by Alaska standards. My car was strained to start when I went to the grocery store. I can only imagine sub zero temps.

There's plenty of lady politicians out there that I would rather not have around.

 

Keeping the bird feeder full. Also have a dense hedgerow of evergreens for cover. They empty the feeder, a large one, every three days. I'll be putting out suet cakes now that we have snow and really cold.

 

There are plenty of " politicians" that need replaced for sure.

We need a "Can" forum to explore these subjects, and they have avoided that...Even Hearth got rid of the "Can" I see

 

Politics & religion topics take a lot of monitoring & some don't know how to communicate while respecting others opinions.

Discussions "Can get hotter than a runaway stove with a chimney fire"
& feelings can get hurt.
IMO , the site is working well with out it.

I think "the can" cost Hearth some good folks &
some money they get from advertisers.
Fewer visits, activity, traffic & posts, = less money from sponsors.

Lucky to have the dry snow, here it was not enough to snowblow but enough to shovel the whole driveway due to top layer of ice. Clean it up when you can or pay for it with packed ice; and that does not mix well with an inclined driveway.
