Well for sure all is well now. Simply lay a couple of splits on a few coals and it starts up and glass does not turn black. I really don't know how some folks stand it when their stove windows are constantly black. Looks terrible and makes me think the stove isn't working worth a hoot. Well, it isn't when that happens.
That is very true on the stove not performing correctly. Unfortunately many people think that is normal.
